Meeting and Training Facilitation
Steve enjoys public speaking and encouraging collaboration with others. He has decades of experience facilitating public meetings, Home Owners Association functions, and interagency government trainings.
Steve works as an independent contractor as a cadre to deliver the Community Wildfire - Mitigation Best Practices course nationally in person and virtually through the Canvas platform. In 2025, he was approved by NFPA to instruct the National Assessing Structure Ignition Potential from Wildfire course, in person or virtually.
In 2016, Steve invited and hosted a Community Mitigation Assistance Team (CMAT) to work with the Teton Area Wildfire Protection Coalition. CMAT provided technical and strategic mitigation support to reduce community impacts associated with wildfires in Teton County. The success of the CMAT team was a direct result of Steve’s effective leadership and collaboration with all stakeholders and the public.
Instructors can be provided for NWCG fire courses, Incident Command System, and FEMA courses, Ready! Set! Go! preparedness classes for HOAs, an wildfire risk mitigation.
